Janissaries 35‣78
Janissaries are elite infantry drawn from devoted and highly trained soldiers who serve as the disciplined core of the army. They fight in organised ranks, armed with muskets for decisive volleys and scimitars for close combat. Their strength lies not in heavy armour but in coordination, skill, and absolute loyalty to their command.
Their distinct dress sets them apart from other troops, with tall ceremonial headgear and light jerkins that allow swift, continuous movement in battle. Where Janissaries stand, armies hold their ground.
