Lordship 1

A lordship is a set of lands whose owner has the title of lord. The size of lordships varies: they can be just a hamlet or an entire region. The lordship is linked to the figure of the [URL=/help/bld?type=wcastle]castle[/URL], which is the centre of command along with its strongest expression. When the lord resides on his lordship, he owns at least a [URL=/help/bld/castle]stately home[/URL], whose role is symbolic, demonstrating the authority of the lord over his men.
